I'm running a stock pump on a 250 chevy with the 5/16 lines and the $^*&%$#!!! lines keep kinking _with_ the use of a bending tool. The problem seems to be in trying to get a neat 90 deg. bend into the tube (bending as far as the tool allows will result in about a 100 deg. bend).
I want the engine to look neat, so just running a lot of rubber is out. A braided stainless covered hose would be my alternate now with some fab'd brackets to keep it neat and away from manifolds, etc. The problem with this alternative is that all I can seem to find is AN parts that don't tell me if it's compatible with 5/16 fittings (I want the -mostly- stock appearance).
