i have not had any dealings with these people, but i have bought NOS 302 parts from Memphis Equipment Company (http://www.memphisequipment.com/), which deals in military GMC vehicles, engines, and parts.

If you mount a military 302 in other than a military application, you will need an electric fuel pump, since the military block provides no place to mount a conventional pump, and you'll need to do some grinding on the block to make room for a starter. You'll probably need a conventional 302 oil pan, since most of the military pans i've seen are truly deeeeeep. You'll probably also want to swap the military flywheel for something lighter. Many of the military applications ran with a version of GM's Hydramatic.

Depending on what you want your engine to do, the rebuilt 302 that these people offer could be a reasonable investment. Bear in mind that these engines produced peak torque at 1800 rpm. If you want a 302 to perform in a passenger car or light truck, you'll probably be better advised to find a used engine and rebuild it to your own specifications. That will almost surely cost you much more, but you will probably like the result a lot better.

God's Peace to you.
