I have built two setups using the Motorcraft Holly 32/32 carbs. A double and a triple. I have installed the double and fuel just keeps pouring into the bowls. These are fully rebuilt, no dirt and the needle valves look perfect. We have tried from 2lb to 7lb fuel pressure, no difference. Don't confuse this carb with the 32/36. Tom Langdon has sold this carb forever to be used in multiple carb setups. I talked to Tom, but he has no answer. Has anyone else used these carbs and experienced a flooding problem? Just to be fair, I tried to buy the carbs from Tom, but he no longer has any in stock so I bought them on line from a rebuilder. I can't go back to him because of border issues. Just looking for a home grown solution.
Thank you Warren

See if the floats are taking in any fuel and sinking. because to me it sounds like some kinda float issue.

If you have eliminated the needle valves and excess pressure then floats would be my guess too. Either leaks or not properly adjusted.

I would like to add to check the gasket and make sure the float is not hanging up on an edge protruding into float bowl.

Good call on the gasket , if it had shifted I would think the carb would be leaking in general. So on that note double check the gasket area in and around the float maybe??? the leak is something else.

Super dumb question...
Did you try a different gauge or try the gauge on a known good setup?
I had this happen a long time ago, working on a friends car...his gauge was off.

Well, I come back with egg on my face. On certain 32/32 carbs, there are two ports beside each other with the logical one being the gas inlet, Wrong! That is the vent port and the other is the gas inlet. We were pumping gas directly into the bowl with no control. I appreciate the excellent suggestions, unfortunately nobody suggested stupidity.
Thanks Warren

Warren, Wow. I wasn't aware of that. Don't feel too bad. Those little Webers have a lot of variations. Thanks so much for reporting back. Too many times we never get a post telling the final outcome. If you are going bypass the floats you've got to be hauling ass ALL the time!

Thanks Warren No offence Warren I don't think anyone has figured out how to fix that. LOL But glad you got it worked out.
