I have purchased a new mild cam from Tom L. to put into my 261 that is in the process of a rebuild. The old rocker arm was busted. I need a new one, but does it make sence to buy the complete rocker arm assembly? What are the benefits (if any) to getting a new rocker arm opposed to using the old one had it not been broken?

You may be able to get by with a used set of rocker arms and shaft, if they're not worn excessively. 235 rockers and shafts will fit the 261. if the rest of your rockers are not too worn, you can buy one rocker arm........napa has new ones.

Lord, let me live long enough to do all the projects I have planned!
