My little 6 cyl dragster heat soaks easily and i am looking for a solution. As no one make an electric water pump and the remote drive ones look pretty hinkey, I am looking into a small 12 volt transfer pump that would move water through the engine and rad when the car was shut down. this was i would keep the manual run water pump but be able to slowly circulate water through the rad when the car was not running. Any ideas where i could pick the water and where to pump through so it gets through the rad I think i could pick it up on the rear engine block drain but where if its possible to pump it to when the car is shut off to circulate it through the radiator . I don't know if this would be possible but is an idea

If it dont fit keep welding

I have seen the stock water pump and fan being run by a separate 12 volt motor and belt. This would not only circulate the water but could cool it also. No longer than you run the engine, it should work as the only pump drive.

As Larry said, the Mr.Gasket or Moroso 12V drive motors have been the racing standard for close to 40 years and work great. Just leave the stock pump in place and the motor turns the pump to circulate the water during and after shut downs. It can't get any simpler.
