Can you convert a 235/261 to a spin-on oil filter? Any one have tips for that?

Yes. Are we talking about a bypass system with the small lines? If so, get one of those filter adapters, they come in two styles, one with the lines coming in from the top, or one from the sides. Use witchever one gives you the best layout. You will have to bush it down to use the smaller lines, or you will loose your oil pressure if you try to use the larger lines like they sell with the "kits". The larger lines are fine for the full flow 261's. It won't really filter any better than the canister style, but its alot easier/cleaner to work with.

That's what I was mainly thinking, it'd be cleaner. So use one f the aftermarket kits, bush the fittings, and use smaller hoses? I was thinking about getting some made from hydraulic hose. The plan is to do all the external stuff on the 235 that's there, and eventually swap in a 261.
