Long story short:

Blew a hole in the exhaust manifold gasket last night....since I've got to take the header off anyway I was wondering if anyone had a stock exhaust manifold or a shorty header for sell or trade for a barely used long header. The long one isn't a good fit for the Jeep since it runs under the transmission skid. OR...What is the best way to fix my problem?? I think the stock is my best/cheapest choice here. Do you think I could have the header I have shortened???? Any suggestions?

Also, does anyone know what exhaust manifolds will fit the 250. For example will one from a Jeep's 258 bolt up?

An ad in the TPN under 'Parts Wanted' would do it.

Good luck, John M., #3370...

is the header a 3 into 1 Or 6 into 1? How much shorter does it need to be? Email me a Pic if you can. But yes i'm sure it could be shortened. I have some Stock exhaust around here somewhere.

The header is a 3 into 1. I will have to take a picture of mine when I get home this afternoon. The part # from pacesetter is 70-1204. It would need to be about 4-5 inches shorter to go above the skid plate. I would have to pay someone to do the work, how much trouble/money do you think it would be?

Won't he have to shorten both sets, front and back headers to get the same back- pressure/balance?

Cut the flanges off and weld the Chevy flange to the Jeep tubes.

And yes, both both sets need to be shortened.

No Not if the other set fits. The Only thing needed to do then would shorten the One set Then Lengthen it to the collector side What is taken from one end Is then added back to the Other.

But i see he said yes to both set. SO again What is removed from one spot Just add that back to the other side. So The Headers would still be the same size as he Bought them.
