Hi everyone, I am replacing the 235 in my wagon with a 250. I stripped the motor to paint the block and now I am having a problem figuring out how the power steering/alternator brackets mount to the engine. Can anyone send me a picture or tell me where online or otherwise find a picture of how this all goes together. Thanks Tom

Tom: I have a 1974 GM rebuild manual enroute to me at this time that will cover the 250 engine. This manual assumes the engine is out of the vehicle already but I do not know yet if it assumes the engine was pulled with everything attached to the engine. If the manual has what you need we can figure out a way to get that info to you. I don't know when the manual will arrive ..... it is coming U.S.P.S. Ray

Thanks Ray for the information. It's been hard to find and pictures. It would be nice to find the original or repo sales brouchers showing the engine. On my 53 it clearly shows the 235 engine with all accessories.

Hi Walt, Yes the alternator does go bottom right, power steering upper right and now my new AC on the left. I don't have a smog pump as the engine came from Ohio. A picture would be great if possible. I am thinking now that maybe the library has a chiltons auto manual from 1970 and I could get a picture from there. But if it's no trouble for the picture I would appreciate it.
Thanks Tom..

Tom, just wondering what made you pick the 250 over the 235? I am getting ready to start in on my 50'Deluxe and I don't know which engine to use. I have access to a 235, 261, 250, & 292(way to many parts cars). The 250/292 have some tranny advantages and I want to keep it "inline-6". What did you do for motor mounts, do you have water pump clearance issues, what tranny are you using? Just curious thx Todd
