I just finished installing a new head and I come to find out that the plugs that I bought for it are too small and it looks like it uses a flat instead of tapered seat. The heads casting number is #3895052 and is used for about everything from 1967-1990. What do I use? This is going in a mildly modified 292 with HEI in a 1978 Chevy C-10
Thanks for any help, Perry

Dear Perry;

If you check back a few posts (3/27) you will find the answer.

As I recall, this person had a head from Mexico.

Good luck. \:\)

The 14mm long reach plugs that use a gasket to seal would be AC R45XLS or R44XLS, depending on which heat range you prefer to use. The 45 is hotter than the 44 by a slight amount. I'd use the R44XLS gapped at .045" with an HEI.
