Alooo-Ha!

I have been reading the other 261 oiling threads but thought I would start my own to prevent further confusion in my thick skull.

I have a '59 261 casting # 3759365, with pin and 1/8" NPT hole forward of large oil line hole.

engine fresh out of rebuilder's and not installed

Pin is flush, 1/8 NPT hole is plugged as are the oil line inlet/outlets, and I do not want to run an oil filter.

uhhh, are the plugs correct or will I need to ??

many mahalo's in advance

Dear Kimo;

That's correct for what you want and the safest way to go.

You will need to place an adapter in the hole closest to the firewall for the oil guage line/sender/switch though.

Be sure to "prime the pump" when you install it and again before you start it etc.

Good luck. \:\)

10-4 John, we already primed it once checking oil to the top, thanks for the guage heads up, that was going to be my next question! Can't wait to stab it and steer it!!

Aloha!!
