O.k have found the engine for my 54 chevy.A 68 250 and turbo 350 trans.I know I have to buy an aftermarket trans mount. My question is will the 250 6 cyl with the stock motor mounts fit in the same place where the 235 motor mounts are?Do i need to fabricate new motor mounts and relocate them on the frame.I am hoping that it will be a drop in replacement.Has anyone done this motor swap in there 54 chevy? Thanks again for all the replys You have all sent me from my other questions..They have been very helpful.this is an awsome site with good people.Thank you

Ty, the mounts are in fact different between the two motors. Chassis Engineering in Iowa make up some excellent BOLT-IN mounts for this swap. Also have the trans member as well as front and rear sway bars, master cyl mounts and a few other things.

Good Luck

I put a 70 250 in my 50 Chevy and I bought motor mounts from them. It wasn't a drop in at all.
I had someone fabricate a tranny mount.
I also had to move my radiator forward about a couple of inches. Hope this helps.

Thank you for those who take the time to help and provide advice!
A classic car enthusiest!
