Does anybody know of a good place to purchase new leaf springs/kits for a 66 Chevy II? I've found 2 places so far, performancesuspension.com and chevyIIonly.com. I'm just trying to shop around a little for a good deal. Any help or info would be appreciated. Thanks...

There are a few others and CalTacs would be one of them. I'll find my list for you.

I have found that Chassis Engineering has a very high quality product that fits perfect with no modifications. www.chassisengineeringinc.com 319-643-2655

Their kits include complete systems; leafs, shackles, brackets, bolts, even sway bars or you can buy them separate.

Some Chevy IIs/Novas came with a heavy duty suspension, which included a single leaf rear spring that was double the thickness of the stock unit. I found a set in a wrecking yard under a station wagon, bolted right on, great for hauling sacks of concrete.
As you well know the standard single leaf is a wet noodle. I'd check Hemmings Motor News or Nova Club etc for the best deal. Also Global West Ent. in So CAl had some kits that greatly improved the crappy front suspensions of those cars.
Best of luck!

Hey guys, thanks for the input and info. I bumped into a local place that I'm gonna go with. Didn't even know it existed. Unbelievable...
