The torque drive was basically a powerglide with a manual valve body. Make sure the TH350 is the same length as your current trans and there will be no driveline or mount issues. You will need to use the TH converter. Not positive, but you may need an adapter to use your current shift linkage to get all three gears on the TH.

Make sure the holes in the TH350 converter line up with your flex plate before you bolt it all together.

kinda figured it would come down to linkage and bolting. i think i will go to a floor mount shifter, just to avoid any other linkage issues. also make sure tranny is same lenght. but there is a vacuum source that needs to be added. where do i get the vacuum from, and how much flow do i need? i just hope i dont have to switch out the flywheel to bolt up to the th350. thats no biggie tho,, just tapping into the budget, u know how it goes. thanks for the help so far guys,, appreciate ya's.

You need a T-350 flywheel, converter and transmission (together) from a Salvage Yard as a 'package deal' with the linkage too.

This way; it will all work "together" etc.

Just tell the people there what your doing is all.

Good luck. \:\)
