A friend of mine recently acquired a 1948 Chevy Fleetmaster. Unfortunately a prior owner has clipped all the wiring from under the dash. Does anyone know where one might find a wiring schematic for this vehicle? Don Coatney

A factory shop manual would have a schematic in it. I would suspect that any '54 or older diagram/manual could be used to get you there, assuming some prior experience with car wiring.

Hello,I operate a street rod shop that one of my specialties is wiring. When I need a wiring diagram I go to the Library. Usually the larger the libraries have more older automotive referance books. Also you may try type in the words"Automotive Research Library"on the internet. This will take you to a site that has all the referance books that were used by Bill Harrah. The site says your can request a form for inforamtion, and wiring diagrams are listed in the information list. I don't know yet if there are any charges, but it looks promising.Maybe this will help--Paul
