Howdy guys, Leo asked me to let you all know, we raced the last race of the season yesterday, November 11th. At some unreal time in the morning, the crew all pilled in with Leo and Teri for a rendezvoused with our driver Billy Coleman and his father Dick at Island Dragway in Greenmeadows, New Jersey. It was cold, in the mid 40's. The car fired right up and after a long wait in line, Billy ripped a new time for us at 9.78 seconds at 134.75 MPH. In the 1/8th mile we pulled a 6.19@110.56 MPH. To say we are very happy would be an understatement.

6.19!! That's a typo right. There are JR Fuelers that would love to turn that. Nice going, it's great when all your work pays off. 6.19.....*#&$ Larry

Ah, wouldn't be nice to see 6.19 in the quarter but no, that's 1/8th mile speed. Does give one something to ponder.

Sorry missed the 1/8. I guess I still not up on 1/8s yet. I haven't ever heard of anyone running them here on the left coast.

Glad to hear it, that's even faster than the weekend before isn't it? 9.80 ish IIRC (saw it on the HAMB, but I'm not looking at it right now).
My, what a steep learning curve. Erik II#5155

Congratulations! That's a great run especially considering the weather that day. Excellent tuning.

I do not think Leo's car weighs 1800-2200 lbs?? Meaning,,,it's little easier to run nines in the 1/4 if your vehicle weighs little to begin with. Congrats to Leo/Armond.
Mike Kirby's altereds weigh 1500-1800 lbs,IIRC??? Those run 9's.
Heck, normally aspirated gutted Hondas run nines now adays, still fast, but if you are close to 3000 LBS & run in the nines,,that's a nice job. Not trying to offend anyone here,so do not take it the wrong way ,please.
