I have a set of new Cloyes steel timing gears, cataloged for '65-83 motors. There is another part number for 84-94 motors.
The gears have only one keyway each. I've been under the impression that the 300's cam was retarded 4 digress beginning in '72 or so. So, can anyone tell me if these gears are straight up of retarded?

Also, what are the stock ford gears made of? And what are you likely to find in a reman motor? My engine is from Advance Auto Parts.
