I have /fenton headers for the old Ply, I noticed today that the outlet is 2 in id on one end and 1.5 id on the other, All markings lead one to believe that they are a set. I'm gonna use them, bu am looking for editorials/comments...Frump

Yup....that's just the way they are. I think they were trying to get more clearance around the fuel pump. On the latest models of the F.H. six there was a fuel pump with a vacuum pump. It didn't leave much clearance for the front headers.
I made a heat shield to mount to the top of the fuel pump on my '48 in an effort to keep as much heat as possible from the fuel pump.

Hi Frump,
No I don't think that they are especially difficult to install. I ran the pipes between the crossmember and the body just like the original single pipe ran. Someday I am going to build a heat shield between the pipes and the floorboard and see if I can keep the interior of the car a bit cooler.
