Hello fellow inliners. I am in the process of doing a frame off restoration of my 1963 Chevy truck. I am at the crossroads of putting a new 700R4 automatic transmission into the truck. My biggest fear is that the new transmission will not mount to the rear engine mount where the old bell housing would mount. Has anyone out there been through this issue before? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Thanks Walt... I have seen those custom rear transmission crossmembers and I plan on changing it out. I have one more question. It will be ok not to have a rear engine motor mount just the front engine mount and the transmission mount? I am just a simple newbee to all of this and want to do it right the first time. Thanks.
