I don't have a car trailer. I have a tow dolly. Is it ok to tow my car ('49 Chev) with torque tube tranny/driveline setup?

Thanks.

Is your '49 a stick or an automatic? If it's a stick, you can tow it in neutral. If it's an auto, you'll need to disconnect the torque tube to tow it without damaging the transmission. I towed a '64 Nova from Riverside, California to Boise, Idaho using a tow dolly and had no problems, but I did pull the driveshaft just to be on the safe side. And the '64 uses a standard driveshaft, not a torque tube.

It's a 3 speed manual. I was thinking it would be ok, but thought I'd better check. Thanks.
