I am starting my first rebuild and would like to know if anyone could recommend a certain type of Piston or complete rebuild kit. Looks like they are all over the internet. Good experiences or bad let me know. I came across the Clifford Rebuild kit, just looked a bit pricey.

My bad,
The engine is a 250.
As far as stock rebuild goes, I am looking to get more performance out of the engine so I do not mind putting in some upgraded equipement, etc.

If you want forged pistons they are about $600 w/whatever compression you want. http://www.sissellsautomotive.com/pistons.html

Offy is a better all around intake manifold for the street.

307 cast flat tops w/4 valve reliefs for added compression, or use 250 pistons & install an early small chamber 194 CI head.

http://www.pawengineparts.com for standard rebuild of parts, gaskets, camshaft.

forged pistons are not that hard to find or get. I just ordered a set for a 250 true flat top .030 over. File fit rings pistons & pin this piston with a 67 CC head will net 9.8-1 it will take about 3wks before i have them in my hands.

How much did those run you?
I think Tom was saying it is hard to find standard TRW forged 307 SBC pistons??
