I am taking my altered to the Nostalgia Funny Car Nationals on 8/15 inLaRue Ohio. I will be racing with the Gunslingers Nostalgia Altered circuit, also on the program. If you are planning to go stop by and say Hi and talk some six cylinder.

It was a fun weekend. We went to MCIR Friday to t-n-t and raced Saturday. This was my first time racing with the Gunslingers and I was warmly welcomed. They even had another altered there powered by a six - a 250 Chevy. They had a ton of old Funnys and Gassers too - at least two dozen FCs, and four really nice FEDs. I talked to one FED crew person and she said they were running on 74% nitromethane (at $1700 a drum - yikes!). Awesome! When we left at midnight they just started the second round of FC. We beat it back up to Milan - got back in at 3:30 AM in time for a few hours of sleep and then raced in their Sunday points race. I lasted four rounds.
The only issue with the car the whole weekend was a blown fuse on the trans cooler temp sensor for the auto fan switch relay.
Whew (wiping brow), I'm getting too old for this abuse. But it does make me feel young.

Frenchtown Flyer, are you the guy that used to drag race at Wentzville, MO in a blue roadster altered running a 6 cylinder Ford?

Nope, that was not me. I run mostly in Michigan / Ohio area.
Someday I hope to make it to an Inliners convention with my altered.

Frenchtown; Start planning. 2010 Convention will be in San Antonio area. Al Cunningham and his cunning, co-horts are plotting that as I send this. One rumor is a give-away engine prize during the convention. Of course San Antonio is a great destination city for a vacation, but with the Inliners Convention to boot, Well it really should'nt be missed. Start saving your shekels, and be prepared to enjoy some Texas Hospitality. Goes for all Inliners. We really want to see Y'ALL all, make it down in 2010. Most likely in June. Bill (SOB)
