What is the stock spring bolt location from the center of the axle tube in inches? I'm installing an S10 4x4 rear end in my 50 Chev car and need to drill the correct location in the new spring pads for the rear end.

HI redhotrod : I think popper6 is real close on his measurements . I have the same set-up and dropped a plumb bob through the original diff centerline and marked the floor . I then loose - fitted the S-10 to the same centerline . I made a plate and welded it to the S-10 ( new ) spring mount .
Hope this helps -- DON / FLEET 51

This is a good time to center the tires in the wheelwells, the torque tube rear end was not located in the exact center due to the geometry (or sumthin') and as long as you have to make up a driveshaft anyway, you might as well make it look better.
