Hi guys, i just run my new reground cam in and need to set the rockers again. Can someone please tell me the correct clearence for the rocker valve stem clearance. Oh i set them at 18 thou to run it in.

Assuming they are solid lifters and the engine is at running temperature, Intake: .006 Exhaust: .013. Did you get any Valve Lash info with the Cam Card? If so,do what that says.

You Need to do what the cam card tells you to set them at. It can range from .06 to 22 or more My 583/607 crane was .022 hot OR cold. Who did your cam? call them.

Cheers Guys. I checked my cam card and it says .012 thou, so that is what i'll be setting them at i suppose

Dean - who ground your cam???

Wade camshafts are the ones who did the XU1 work with GMh - so I'll be using them

Mark, Crow cams it cost me $150 with the lifters re-faced aswell

What grind did you get?

I've got a ripper one here - 280 and 290 degree duration 450+ lift, it came from americams in the US

I've got the cam in a box at the moment, but it will go into a bored and stroked 261, with a triple McGurk, or a fairly stock 235 and a dual Nicson intake, just for a laugh
