I have a 50 Ford with a flathead 6. I am replacing the dead 6 with a motor and trans out of a 51. I have discovered the mount on the case of my 51 trans is not the same as my 50 trans.
anyone out there done this swap and know of a solution?

thanks!
David

I hope this helps, it covers darn near everything for your years in there somewhere. Near the last paragraph it explains that '51 used a different transmission. http://www.btc-bci.com/~billben/trans.htm
