There is not a lot of difference in clutch disks and pressure plates, for street to mild build. The exception is the difference between a diaphragm, and spring pressure plate. The diaphragm pressure plate requires less pedal pressure.

What I like about a diaphragm is that it requires far less pressure to hold it fully released, less tiring to drive in traffic.

I reccomend a Hays clutch kit.
I have one in my A-bone and it works great.
They have the light pedal effort thing figured out, no flyweights or other goofiness either.
What about a diaphram equates to lighter pedal effort?
Just a guess on my part, but more leverage on the spring and fewer moving parts (so less friction in that part of the mechanism).
My, what a steep learning curve. Erik II#5155

There is an adjustment rod that connects to the fork that moves the throwout bearing. It has a jam nut on a threaded rod that you make longer or shorter to get the desired release point.
