Looking for advice on cam for a boat application with a single 292 engine. Boat is fairly heavy at 5000 lbs, so looking for plenty of low end torgue. Anybody like those clifford cams? Or maybe comp? Does .520 lift sound exceptable for a smooth idle but still lots of power? What about a Holley 600? Dave

this is a marine application with a somewhat restrictive two to four plate which i would like to put a holley 600. rpm wise cruising rpm is around 3000 max 4000 or so also i plan on using a mallory unilite or equilivent... heads will be stock rebuilt, comp is stock. i did notice after checking the numbers that the block is a 292 but the head appears to be a 250. good or bad? dave
