I've got a 1964 Pont, with a 230. I use it for my daily driver. The 230 is still strong but I would like a little more power and reliability for daily driving. Where do I start ? I was thinking of a new intake and a 2 barrel carb (1 barrel on now). New dist ? Please help....

Personally, escpecially from a "daily driver" point of view, reliability and reduced maintenance requirements are king. Long winded way of suggesting converting to electonic ignition. Pertronix or HEI. No longer a need to adjust points, easier starting, and more complete fuel burn.

to add to that, updating the carb and checking out the intake on it now would also increase the longrun reliability and maybe even increase fuel economy as well, you dont need ne more fuel than what its got.
