We attended the Great Western Steam Up to celebrate the 4th & the 150 Birthday if the Virginia & Truckee Railroad.
LINK It was great so many Steam engines fired up at once! Plus all the train rides you could stand pulled by several different standard & narrow gauge engines, Also blacksmithing demonstrations,a steam fire pumper, a steam launch, steam mule, steam printing press, steam powered ice cream maker. access to the Nevada State Railroad Museum & shops. Food, beer, music......... all in one spot! The best event I have attended in a long time!
