Inliners International Forums General Discussion Drive Train Which T5 for My 54Chevy/261 Pickup?

First, let me make sure I'm using the proper terms. T5=the transmission from the Chevy S10 Pickup/Blazer and other GM cars. If that's correct, which would be the best/easiest installation on my 54 Chevy Pickup? I remember reading that the bolt patterns on the mid 80's S10 T5 would bolt right up to a 48-54 GM Pickup, Is this correct? My engine is a 261, do you see any problems so far? I read the comments on no7a 5sp overdrive manual, posted on 08-18-01, and there was some concern of the T5 being too weak. Is this any problem behind a 261? Any advise I can get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch. Rich PS By the way, how much are these thing$ going for?
