pro's include: lower rpm on highway lower first gear for acceleration more gears for acceleration easy to get parts for anywhere con's tranny cost 500-700 for good one custom driveshaft tv cable to trottle lockup control for longevity i've done before but never to a 53 chevy. only in mid 60's cars. others can help you there. tom

A 200 4R has a shorter case. Not sure about your driveshaft. In either case you'll have to fab brackets at the back of the block where the old mounts went plus use a trans crossmember. There is other past info in this forum.Try a search.
