I'm in the process of puting together a fuel injection system for my Hudson. Does anyone have any recommendations on which one to use. And if so, why? I'm going to start with a Weber side draft manifold from Clifford, and use three, 2 throat throttle bodies from TWM induction.
Thanks, Keep those hornets buzzin'

What form of injection are we talking about?
TBI? Hilborn conversion? port injection?
There are several types/levels of aftermarket TBI setup out there. Holley comes to mind. Some use an O2 sensor, some don't.
Hilborn and others can sell whole setups or just parts for converting old mechanical injection setups. I would think that these could also be used for a homemade setup of some kind. The injectors won't care what kind of manifold they get screwed into.

I'm working on putting a TBI system on my 302 in my 54 GMC. I am using all the stock components from a 1990 Asto Van 4.3 V6. I shoud be able to let you know how it works in a few days. I am almost done with it. Joe

Do you have any pics of it Joe? It would be interesting to see what is involved. What did you do for a harness and sensors? I have a unit from a 3.1 that we are planning on using on my 292.

I pulled the entire wiring harness out of the van and then saved the computer part. I used the entire stock computer system and sensors. I used the computer wiring and shortened or lengthened the wires to fit. I used an externally mounted fuel pump. Airtex brand # 8094 which is listed fof GM TBI. I will try to get some pictures here in the next few days. Joe

I will be using three, 2900 series two throat throttle bodies from TWM induction. You can see them at: TWMinduction.com My distributor has already been converted to a magnetic trigger for an MDS 6al box. I will have to make a new set of headers anyway, so I'll fit the O2 sensor at the same time. TWM doesn't sell ECM's, and I've never had a car with fuel injection, so I don't have any experience with them. I was just trying to get some input from someone with some first hand knowlege. I'll check out the one's that have been listed here. Thanks...

Hello Dany,
I looked at the website you mentioned for the throttle bodies, I was impressed. Please keep the board informed of what you get worked out on the injection system. I would like to do something similiar in the future - and yes it will be on a Hudson 308.
I have the picture you posted on your '41 coupe set as my wallpaper - now that is one impressive Hudson! Is the engine in that coupe the stroker engine you were working on while posting on the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane site at MSN?
I'm sure Jack Clifford and Smoky Yunick would be proud to see those wheels in the air.
Keep those Hornets buzzin! Hudson

Hello Hudson, Yes, that is the same car I was working on before. My budget won't allow me to do the fuel injection right away, it will most likely take six to eight months to put together.
