Well on my 100hp setup and 1/8 track we could get 5-6 passes. On a 1/4 mile track 2 passes. All this depends if you are purging down to a certon bottle pressure like we do. We have a lot of bottles (22 for the 3 car team) so we get a larger volume price in our area 3.50 lb but we don't emty the bottle all the way. We make 2 passes and put in a full bottle. A match race can pay $500-1000 dollars so we dont chance losing with a low bottle pressure.
It's a gray area if a motor make 150-200 hp is nitrous really is cost efective that will be left up to the owner. Now on the other hand a 400-450hp six owner can bolt on easy 250 extra hp for $600-1000 depending on the system now that's cheap HP. Yes, you can build a turbo motor that make the same power but for how much$$$$$$$$$$$$ We did a turbo bike project and it took months and a ton of cash. The nitrous bikes are just as fast and bolted theres on in a weekend.
