Inliners International Forums General Discussion MOPAR '46-'48 Dodge 230

I have a Dodge 230 in my '38 Plymouth and I'm running 20-50 detergent oil. I live in Northern Cal. and the climate is mild. High 30's Winter, High 80's summer. The engine does'nt use much oil,so I thought 20-50 would cover all the bases. Any thoughts on this?

I'm running 10w-40 Synthetic oil in mine, which is across the Bay from San Francisco.

Marty, what oil would you recommend in my flattie. It is only driven in mild to hot weather, parked for the winter months. The engine runs good, but has miles on her. Right now I amusing Shell Rotella T 15 W40 oil........Thanx Fred
