I have heard that rumor too (from both sides) I have been told that it isn't though, IIRC it was an Aussie that posted that (I don't know, I have never tried fooling with either), hopefully he will see this.

IIRC it was in a thread on 12 port heads for the Chevy (but now that I think of it, it may have been on another board ). I'll have to look through my saved stuff at home (not there right now) and see what I can find for you.

I believe Toyota bought the 235 tooling, then changed it to metric among other things. It only looks like a Chevy...

I forget all his credetials on the subject, but regardless when he tells me it no workie, I believe him (admittedly it's the head he's talking about, not the manifold, but I expect that won't fit either).

Well, possible the Toyota was buying the 235 six, but saw one some site somewhere theese heads didnt suit the 235, it was a little longer, and combustion chambers didnt line up to the 235,
Could it suit the 250 then? Please, somebody check!

If you check wikipedia, you will see toyota's first six was a copy of a chev. Later motors 1950's & 60's were licence built general motors, converted to metric.
What motors from later years are who knows probably toyota by then.
Hope this clarifies toyota/Chev saga.
