Bought this intake from Ebay:

Second picture

Is there a good way to get it cleaned up without painting it? Maybe just scrubbing with a good degreaser and stiff brush?

It has two threaded holes. One has a plug. The other does not. Not sure what you would use these for. Vacuum? What kind of plug do I put in there? Brass?

holes

Thanks for any hints. Including stuff I didn't ask about.

I guess I need hints on photo posting first. Does Shutterfly not work here or something?

You can bead blast it and it will clean up very nicely.
The hole are for Vacum hook-ups.

So, you're the one who got my manifold! \:D As for posting pictures there is no help here but the board at Stovebot is almost the same and they have a forum called "the Short Bus" that is a help forum. That is where I learned to post here. Good luck!

That wasn't the one. I watched them for a while. They seem to go in the neighborhood of $170 to $180.

I'm familiar with posting pictures on forums. But shutterfly doesn't seem to work for me here (it does for other forums) which is where I have all my pictures. Cardomain seems to work fine but is more of a hassle to upload to. Photobucket seems the most popular but I haven't tried it.

I use Photobucke, but I don't recall posting anything here, mostly on V bulletin based sites.

Gentlemen,
I am presently trying to fit my single 4bbl Offy manifold and Langdon cast headers to my Chevy 250. The flanges on the Offy seem too wide to fit. I know some of you have delt with this before. Can you direct me to previous threads for help in the interest of not rehashing the same ground.
Thanks.

Just need to file or grind the flange down where it hits.

MBHD,
Thanks for the reply. I will do that. The flanges that need grinding are the "inner" ones that have a through hole for a bolt. I will have to grind away some of the flange and get into the hole.
That has me concerned. The headers don't appear to interfere at all.

Sorry for the protected link. That was my first stab at posting images. I believe it is now accessible.
Thanks.

Ken:
Yup, now it works..
I believe a little careful grinder work to leave as close as possible equal amounts of metal, intake / exhaust will take care of the situation.

Thanks:
