Does anyone recall where the 'rear' pump is physically mounted in the ones that had them? Would I be able to see it with the pan off? I figure I'm going to drop the pan at some point, but I want to keep the time it's off to a minimum, and prefer to do it once.
I have found lots of patent #'s (all in one area of the trans) and the 'Powerglide' was always visible (on the dipstick side of the trans).
But I haven't found the date code anywhere. Does anyone recall where it is? My luck it's inside the belhousing (since I have been looking elsewhere
).
