A few years back, a series of dyno tests were done on both a 292 and a 250. The 250 was also tested with a turbo. I can tell you that when you compare the 4200 vs. the 250/292 to get the same HP on a dollar for dollar basis, the 4200 is half the cost. Its much more expensive than you think to build the 250/292 engines.
