250 crank, more stroke, bigger engine = more power.

Stock rods, 194,230,250 engines.
Aftermarket rods, Crower & others. 6" rod would be preferred over a 5.7".

If you get a good harmonic damper you can even spin a 292 pretty high along w/better rods.

I normally would turn my 250 engine to 6500 & have gone to 7500 w/out any problems. I use a standard 300 HP 8" 350 SBC damper.But I would recommend something better than what I use.

I am going to use a Fisher damper next.

thanks for the reply. yes i know all about the more cubes the more power. i just didnt know about the harmonics of a bigger stroke in theses engines. even are 9000 to 10,000 rpm sbc go thru a transisition of harmonics at a certain rpm qand you dont want to keep the enginge at that rpm for long.

any ideas where i can pick up a nice 250 crank
