I am looking for one of those for a 300 Ford.
sparks, What kind of carbs are you planning on using? Consider the Autolite 2100 / 2150 series - in my opinion far superior to Holleys.

Don`t want to get off topic so I`ll just say that multiple carbs seems to be the best way to get optimum fuel distribution and I don`t know a thing about those autolite carbs. thanks, dan

There is a 3 x 2 intake on ebay also since your considering multi-carbs if you can't get the 2 x 4 intake.

If that kind of intake works anything close to a side draft intake, that would be the one I would get. MBHD

There is also a version of that intake that uses (3) of the factory 1bbl carbs for a 3 x 1 option. Once you open the link, click on the picture to get a closer view of it. 3 x 1

Your right Greg, it allows the 1 bbl carbs to bolt to the 2 bbl bolt pattern. Its really several intakes in one where you can run it as a 3 x 1 intake or a 3 x 2 setup by removing the 1 bbl adapters. Or you could even make it a 2 x 1 or a 2 x 2 configuration by blocking off the center position as well.

Well panic, they've been used in that configuration for over 60 years on all engines from the Stovebolt's on up.....I guess the many thousands of people that have used them successfully in this manner all those years obviously knew something that you don't. It was common for the guys running Flathead's with 3 x 2's to also use a dummy carb or block off the center one because it was overcarbed, and its no different than the Offy intakes for the Stovebolt or 194-292 engines available today that run the same 3 x 1 carbs on them, either progressive or 1:1 if they choose.

Sparks, No need to run off, It is nothing you have done. You asked for help and almost all of the posters here tried to share useful information. Please don't let one rude person ruin an otherwise informative thread. Tom
