Front to rear on the engines those bolts are in the same spot BUT from the oil pan up to that bolt is almost an inch more on the 292. You can make a small tab to extend the tab on the 250 upper support so it can be secured with the center lifter cover bolt. Whichever pan you are using it would be good to fill the engine with the correct amount of oil, run it to fill the filter and all the usual oil passages, and then check the oil level on the converted dipstick to verify the Full mark against the actual full oil level. Remark it with a file score if needed.

Some 292 pans are shaped different from a 250 pan so that's why I suggest taking the time to see what the stick is really reading.
