Thought I would post this over here.

The Clay City race for 2018 is going to be the largest gathering of Slant 6 racers ever assembled! We are reaching out to every current and former Slant 6 drag racer along with anyone else that has an interest in the Slant 6 engine to join us for this historical event.

You don’t have to be a racer or even own a vehicle to come and hang out with us! If you are reading this post, that qualifies you as a “Slant 6 Enthusiast”! So come to Clay City, KY the weekend of 7-9 September 2018 to see the best Slant 6 drag racing on earth and hang out with some of the most welcoming and down to earth people you could ever meet. The Slanted Family wants to see you there.

2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the “Biggest Slant 6 Event Ever” back in 1998 when this racing series began, so we are going to have a “Racer’s Reunion” along with the racing action.
More details here: http://slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=61562

$2,000 to the winner of the Saturday race!
$600 - Runner Up
$200 - Semi-Finalists
$10 Payback to first round losers
Rookies get in FREE!! (a rookie is someone who has not raced in the slant six series, previously).
Sat. entry is only $30.00 for non rookies.

We’re going to make the purse for the Clay City “Racer’s Reunion” the biggest ever. We already have enough pledges from fellow racers, sponsors and the typical track payout for 65% of our $3,000 goal with 10 months to go before race day.

If we are able to gather more support we will pay further down the ladder as well.

Racing is "bracket" style, and only rule is any type vehicle as long as powered by a Mopar slant six engine, and meet nhra/ihra safety requirements for ET/Speed.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like a lot of fun and man, some of those motors run unbelievably well. If I was close I would go even though I am a chevy 6 man.

The 225 /6 block itself becomes the weak link above 400 or so hp, far less than the 292 or Ford 300.

That's why the Hemi 6 was used here...

Some of them are pulling nearer 450hp naturally aspirated. With aftermarket heads they get more than that.

And they weigh much less than a slant.

Not mine, but one of my racer buddies.
