Hey guys, Happy Turkey day! What size external electric fuel pump would I need for my souped up 292 with a Holley 390? Any brands better then another?

The Holley Blue Pump used to be the standard for many years and can handle whatever you could do with your 292 i'm sure.

You don't need an electric fuel pump. Spend your money elsewhere.

You only need an electric fuel pump when you go efi.

I agree. What makes you think you need an electric pump?

Mechanical pump easily replaced at any parts store. Does not need wiring, mounting brackets, oil pressure safety switch, or plumbing revisions and is quiet.

This is the pump I have used on a few of my projects.
Nice and quiet and never left me sitting.
Price is right also.
Airtex e8251 It is a Marine pump. 30 GPH which should support around 350HP.

Guys,
If you put a 292 in a lot of cars you lose the spot for the fuel pump in order to get the passenger side motor mount in.

Do you use a regulator with that pump?

No regulator needed. I think it puts out a max of 4.5 psi

Could also use the old tried and true carter 4070. Rotary vane pump, 4-6 lbs pressure. No regulator needed.
