I have rounded up a couple of l6s a 230 & 250 with manifold on the head. I have a play truck an 86 Swb c10. I will not be a daily driver I don't race I just play. So let me tell you what I got on my mind.

The 250 was running but I am going to freshin it up New bearing, rings, springs & maybe lifters. Then attempt a draw thru with stock 2 barrel rochester with a cheap t3/t4 turbo of eBay

I know don't cheap out right! Hey it's an experiment. My goal is only about 6-8 psi and I understand that the turbo may need carbon seals correct? Bet I could install carbon seals myself if I can find the right sizes. Are carbon seals need at boost below 10 psi? I am a diesel tech by day and a piddler on the wknd smile

The carbon seals are the seals on the turbo shaft, not in the engine. I have done several turbo engines including chevy and ford I6's and you just need quality replacement parts for less than 15psi or so. For your info, stock cams work great for this app.

Sorry I didn't mean to imply engine seals I meant turbo seals. I think most engine seals are buna t these days.
