I have some 302/270 GMC engines that I'm looking to sell. Just wondering what I could expect to sell complete engines for? I'm sure all need to be gone though. All but one of the 270s are military.
I have one 302 and three 270 engines. I have been trying to sell them but maybe I'm asking to much.
Please advise.
Thank you, Matt

Its hard to gauge the value of these a lot of times because you see crazy high prices on ebay, and then you see people offer to give away good usable complete engines on one of the other inline forums for free. They are not rare or terribly hard to find, so its hard to put a price on something like that.

Was asking 300.00 each for the 270's and 500.00 for the 302 on Craigslist. Never got a call in 6 months. Seems like good prices for engines of this type. Thought about piecing them out on ebay but I really don't have the time.

Here's an example of what I was talking about on other inline forums. having to battle against give away's like this, its hard to get any price out of them. Good luck!

Ya Dude you hold off long enough someone is going to give one away. It's that way with almost anything.

302s are harder to come by than 270s. For a non-race application there isn't a lot of difference. The value is what someone who really wants one will pay. I have two 302s and five 207s counting the one in my pickup. When I was looking for a 302 I couldn't find one and settled for the 270. I don't have $200 in the rest of them. If any of the 270s have an "H" head it is worth more.
