I finally got the '52 out here. 25 years in a barn, it was dry, kept the body so that it didn't get wet.

Long-term who know, but short-term I'll try to get the engine started. My mental list of things to do...
1) change the oil
2) fill cylinders with penetrating fluid (would marvel mystery oil be do the same?
3) should i remove the rokers?
4) remove distributor, spin it up, get lots of oil going through the engine, hopefully to the bearings.
5) new battery, crank the starter if possible. I don't think turning it by hand will be easy.

After it turns over, there's a bunch of stuff as next steps

Thanks,
Mark
