1954 261 short block, casting # 3733950, unusual in that it has no captains bars, block has been modified for full flow oil filter, vatted, honed, new cam bearings, takes the short water pump, bored 1/8 over = 278 cu. in., Jahns pop up pistons, Cliffords 270 cam, crank is 10/10. Very rare Harper 3x2 intake with large logo Stromberg carbs. This is the set-up that has the primary/secondary conversion mods to the carbs and the correct linkage. $4,000.00

1955-57 261 short block, casting # 3837012, converted for full flow oil filter, bored .060, Venolia dished pistons, vatted, honed, new cam bearings, polished GMC rods with ARP bolts, crank is 20/20, rotating assembly appears to have been balanced, stock 261 cam and lifters, Intake is very rare Hunter Performance blower intake with a B&M 144 blower, $4,000.00

I am only interested in selling one of the above, either one. Included with either of the above I have some other items such as Fenton iron headers, oil pan, timing cover, lifter cover, oil pump, some bearings, rings, tubular push rods, rocker arms, misc. and possibly a cylinder head. Not interested in parting out or mixing any of the above combinations.

1958 and later 261 short block, this is just a core, will not turnover due to rust in cylinders, it is still assembled with oil pan, timing cover, bell housing, flywheel, etc. $600.00
