Hey All,

I a building my 31 Ford RPU with a Chevy 292. I would like to find some that fit the Flat head Style, puck mounts. Unfortunately every thing I find is for a V8 with the motor side of the mount angled. (LINK)

I have also found a different style, (LINK), but dont like the look. I really would like to stick with the puck style.

My question are:
Does anyone sell the style I want?
Will the front mount, Hurst style from a small block Chevy work on a 292?

Thank You,
Dan Nelson

The first Gen 6's had a front mount ,but never anything that would be close to a Model A mount, Davis Speed
equipment makes some side mounts that look like the could be used on an A frame and Hurst never made any, and V8 mounts won't fit a 292. Looks like you'll have to fabricate.

Here is a link to my build thread on HAMB. In about the middle of this page there are some pictures of mounts used to put a Chevy 153 Four in Model A frames. They are not mine just pictures I lifted for reference. They could be used on a Six.

Thanks guys! This is exactly what I was looking for. While I have the biscuit style already< had to make the part that mounts to the block, and didnt see that the driver side mount goes right where the steering box is. I think that the Davis Speed ones will solve the problem.

I really like the front engine mounts in the HAMB post, but am afraid that the bell housing mounts will interfere with the pedal assembly.

Back to the drawing board. Ill shoot some pics of what I come up with.
