Hello, I am new to this organization and look forward to many interesting times here. My first question for everyone is this... can you fit Chevy 305 valves into the Ford 300? I know that machining will have to be done but other than that, is it possible? Has anyone ever seen this? Thaks alot.

I'm running 1.92 intakes. You can match them with 1.6 exhausts, but there was not as great a difference there so I kept Ford exhausts.

This is a common swap, discussed in length on the www.fordsix.com website. Other common improvements include 250 Chevy rockers (1.75 ratio vs 1.61 Ford), screw-in studs and 3/8 pushrods.

I really appreciate the input. I am not trying to race this engine or anything but it is going to end up in a mid 60's mustang for the wife as an anniversy present next year. I want her to be able to outrun the imports that buzz around these streets.
