Is anyone still doing anything with these engines. I was going to use the I4 and then the 4200 destroked in my lakester build. At 78 I'm giving up on this and have some parts that if someone would actually do something with I'd like to pass along at way under what I paid for them and contribute some of what I do get to this site.

I bought and still have blank billet cam blanks for the 4 and also header flanges. Also a high performance clutch that wouldn't be a good street clutch. Was getting a billet flywheel made when I changed directions and had them make it for the 4200 6 as there aren't flywheels our there for that engine. So got the flywheel made with two clutch bolt patterns. A smaller for the clutch I have and a larger normal GM bolt pattern. The flywheel would allow someone to run a manual behind the 4200. I was going to run a G-Force 4 speed like what we ran in Hooley's Stude at Bonneville but will be selling that with the lakester.

So looking for info on any forums besides this one that might still be active on the Atlas I4, I5 and 4200 as the ones I use to go to seem to no longer exist.

Thanks,

Sumner

355nation is another forum specific to the Atlas engine variants. After the Atlas4200 site went down, some of those guys migrated over to here. A lot was lost when that forum ceased.

Thanks, I posted and was on there some years ago but when I looked yesterday couldn't find any posts there on the I4, I5 or 4200. Have you seen anything on there about any of those that is recent? Maybe I was looking in the wrong place. There was a pretty good following for the I4 at the time.

Did find a great YouTube channel where the guy made over 800 RWH with a 4200 only using a turbo....

Blew it up on the last 800+ run but was making dependable 600 RWH to 700 RWH. Wish I was younger, I'd jump on that.

I'm now in contact with him and I'll see where that goes. Hate to see my stuff go to waste if someone could use any of it,

The landracing site might be a good place to start. The Atlas interest has grown there in the last 5 or so years.

Hi Sam,

Stop in if you get down this way. I've been thinking about you. I get to Moab occasionally for VA annual blood work and such. I'll let you know the next time (I think August). Your phone end in 131? Still engraving?

Sam I'll call the next time I'm coming that way and you do the same.

Calvin and his dad (they do the 4200 stuff on YouTube (800+ RWH with a stock 4200)) took all the I4 and 4200 items I had. Hope they do some great stuff with the parts,

Sumner
