Does anyone know a vendor or have a part number for a high torque starter for a 235/261
with two mounting holes.

Larry, I don't know if this is true or folklore but some say a 6v starter on 12v makes more torque as long as you don't have to crank a looooong time. I have run 6v startes on 12v for years because of the gear thing. I have also read, maybe here, that the mounting castings on the old & new style starters can be swapped. That would make sense, why design a whole new starter?
